This is a video by Daniel Pink where he explores and speaks in more detail about these 3 things. One key point he mentioned is that when looking for a job, we need to find something that intrinsically motivates us. Even if a job we are seeking pays well, if its not something that will make us feel like we are making a difference and bring joy to our life, we will not be satisfied. Another good point that he makes is that people who are motivated and find intrinsic value in their job will almost always out perform workers who are not as enthusiastic about their work.
