Globalization

In this video, Robert J. Shapiro is interviewed about his book Futurecast which advocates economic globalization. Shapiro argues that Chinaand the US are becoming the most economically important countries because China is "becoming the production and assembly capitol of the world" and the US because they are becoming the "generator of the new ideas." Shapiro also says globalization increase competition. Competition is the basis for capitalism, what our country is founded upon. I believe globalization will be beneficial in the long run because we will collectively succeed as we follow the ideals of capitalism universally. I hope to read Futurecast and look forward to Obama's motions towards globalization.
